Meet the person walking this journey with you
A Proud Mother & Seasoned Educator
I am a mother of two and have spent over twenty years working within the BC school system as both a teacher and a school counsellor in the Burnaby School District. With my school-based expertise, I am dedicated to neuro-affirming support, ensuring that neurodivergent children and teens feel understood and empowered as we navigate the complexities of school, social life, and self-acceptance together. With a deep understanding of the social, emotional, and academic hurdles children and youth face today, I’ve dedicated my career to ensure that every child feels seen and supported exactly as they are.
Lived Experience in Postpartum Wellness
My own journey into motherhood brought unexpected challenges. I experienced postpartum depression and anxiety with both of my babies. It was a time of deep struggle, but also one of profound personal growth. This experience sparked a heartfelt passion for supporting expectant and new caregivers as they navigate one of life’s biggest transitions. I know first hand that this chapter can be beautiful, but it can also be overwhelming, uncertain, and exhausting. You don't have to navigate it alone.
My Philosophy: Connection First
As an educator and counsellor, I believe that the bond between a child and their caregiver is the most important relationship in life. Secure attachment is the foundation for a healthy, happy family. My approach is grounded in compassion and evidence-based care, focusing on strengthening those vital connections so that both you and your child can thrive.
