My Approach
I believe that genuine healing and growth happen when counselling is built on a foundation of trust and connection. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where you feel truly heard, without judgment, allowing you to explore your story at your own pace.
Since every individual and family is unique, I tailor my approach to fit your specific needs and goals. Depending on what feels right for you, we may draw from several different therapeutic paths:
Somatic (Body-Based) Awareness: Often, our bodies hold onto stress and "big feelings" long before our minds can put them into words. I incorporate gentle somatic tools to help you reconnect with your physical self, regulate your nervous system, and find a sense of calm in moments of overwhelm.
Play-Informed Therapy: For children, play is their natural language. I use play-based tools to help kids and teens process emotions and develop coping skills in a way that feels safe and intuitive to them.
Evidence-Based Tools (CBT & DBT): We may use Cognitive Behavioral or Dialectical Behavior tools to help shift unhelpful thought patterns and build practical "in-the-moment" skills for managing anxiety and intense emotions.
Mindfulness & Attachment: By focusing on the present moment and strengthening the vital bonds within your family, we work toward creating lasting stability and peace at home.
No matter where you are on your journey, I will meet you there with compassion and encouragement—supporting you as you move toward the growth that matters most to you.
