Individual counselling sessions are $165 for a 50-minute clinical hour.
As a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC), my services are GST-exempt, meaning the price you see is the total cost per session. The 50-minute format is the industry standard, allowing for 50 minutes of direct therapeutic work and 10 minutes for clinical documentation and care coordination to ensure you receive the highest quality of support.

For your convenience, I use a secure, encrypted practice management system called Jane. Here is how we handle payments:
Secure Autopay: Most clients choose to keep a credit card on file within their secure Jane account. This allows us to focus entirely on our session, with payment processed automatically afterward so you don’t have to worry about the logistics.
e-Transfer: If you prefer, I also accept e-Transfers. These must be sent prior to the start of our session.
Direct Billing: I offer direct billing for many major insurance providers (such as Pacific Blue Cross, Sun Life, and Manulife). If your plan allows for it, I can bill them directly, and you would only be responsible for paying any remaining co-pay or "gap" amount not covered by your insurance.
A receipt will be automatically emailed to you immediately after payment is processed for your records or manual insurance claims.

I offer both in-person and virtual (online) sessions to fit your family’s needs and schedule.
In-Person: I am currently welcoming clients at my office in Port Moody. Starting in July 2026, I am excited to be moving my practice to a private, peaceful garden suite in Port Coquitlam.
Virtual: For those who prefer the convenience of home or have busy schedules, I provide secure, PHIPA/PIPEDA-compliant video sessions through Jane App. This is a great option for postpartum parents or teens who feel more comfortable in their own space.
Whether we meet on my couch or yours, my goal is to provide a safe, compassionate environment where you and your child feel completely at ease.

I specialize in supporting individuals across several key developmental stages:
Children (Ages 5–12): I work with preschool/elementary-aged children to navigate anxiety, school transitions, and neurodivergent processing (ADHD/Autism) using age-appropriate, play-based, and creative approaches.
Teens (Ages 13–18): I provide a safe, non-judgmental space for adolescents to explore identity, manage social pressures, and build executive functioning skills as they move toward independence.
Adults & Parents: My work with adults is focused specifically on Perinatal and Postpartum support, helping new and expecting parents navigate the profound transitions of early parenthood. I also offer Positive Parent Coaching for those looking for fresh perspectives and practical strategies to navigate the everyday challenges of raising children in today’s world.

For children, play is their first language. While adults use words to process their feelings, children use play to explore their world, communicate their needs, and make sense of their experiences.
By using play-based and expressive techniques, I can meet children where they are developmentally. This approach is effective because:
It creates safety: Traditional "talk therapy" can feel intimidating or like an interview for a child. Play builds an immediate sense of trust and comfort.
It accesses the "felt sense": Children often feel big emotions in their bodies before they have the words to name them. Play allows them to "act out" these feelings safely.
It builds problem-solving skills: Through games and creative activities, children can practice new ways of responding to challenges in a low-pressure environment.
It’s neuro-affirming: For many neurodivergent children, sitting still and making eye contact for a conversation is exhausting. Play allows them to move, fidget, and engage in a way that feels natural to their brain.

Parent coaching is a collaborative space where we focus on the most important influence in a child’s life: you. Rather than focusing on discipline or compliance, Positive Parenting Coaching is about understanding the "why" behind your child’s behavior and building a stronger connection. Drawing on my 20 years in the school system and my own journey as a mother, I help you move away from power struggles and toward a home life that feels more peaceful and intentional.
In our coaching sessions, we may work on:
Understanding the Brain: Learning how your child’s nervous system and development (including ADHD or neurodivergence) impact their actions.
Practical Strategies: Developing "in the moment" tools for handling meltdowns, transitions, and school-based anxiety.
Self-Regulation: Helping you stay calm and grounded so you can be the "anchor" for your child during their big emotions.
Effective Communication: Shifting the way you talk and listen to foster cooperation and mutual respect.
Parenting is the hardest job there is, and you weren't meant to do it without a roadmap. My goal is to give you the confidence to lead your family with more ease and less second-guessing.

We often think of therapy as a "top-down" process—using our thinking brain to change our feelings. However, for children, teens, and even postpartum moms, stress and trauma are often stored in the body first. This is why we might feel a "racing heart" or a "tight chest" before we even realize we are anxious.
Somatic practice is a "bottom-up" approach. Instead of just talking about the problem, we pay attention to how the body is responding. This is especially helpful because:
It calms the Nervous System: We use simple tools—like breathing patterns, grounding movements, or sensory awareness—to tell the brain it is safe.
It’s Great for Kids & Teens: Children often don’t have the words to describe their complex feelings, but they can tell me their "tummy feels like it has butterflies." We work with those physical sensations to release the "stuck" energy of stress.
It Addresses the "Why" of Behavior: Often, a child’s "acting out" is actually a survival response from a dysregulated nervous system. By working somatically, we help the child return to a state of calm.
It Supports Postpartum Healing: For new parents, the physical toll of birth and sleep deprivation is massive. Somatic tools help moms reconnect with their bodies in a gentle, healing way.
In our sessions, we don’t just talk about how you feel; we help your body actually feel more regulated and at ease.

The transition into parenthood is one of the most significant life shifts a person can experience. Whether you are navigating the anxieties of pregnancy or the "identity earthquake" of the postpartum period, I provide a specialized, non-judgmental space to help you find your footing.
As a Certified Perinatal Mental Health Professional (PMH-C), I go beyond general "talk therapy" to address the specific biological and emotional complexities of this stage.
Our work together may include:
Processing Birth Trauma: Creating a safe space to talk through unexpected or difficult birth experiences.
Managing Perinatal Mood & Anxiety Disorders (PMADs): Support for postpartum depression, anxiety, OCD, or intrusive thoughts.
Navigating Identity Shifts: Exploring who you are now as a parent and finding balance within your new roles.
You don't have to struggle your way through this. I’m here to help you move from survival mode back into a place of connection and wellness.
